CHESSCAPE : Broken Boards Demo

UPDATE : This was the build submitted to IGDC 2021 for the awards submission. The game went on to win the "Upcoming game of the Year" award. Post that there have been multiple new additions to the gameplay and a brand new story. Also the target platform is now Xbox and PC. If you liked it remember this is just 10% of the full game. It was supposed to be just another book signing. You believe you have been helping people with your books, after all you write about the most important thing there is - the purpose of life.  However, one of your readers unloads an entire clip from an assault rifle at the signing. 

You have been shot and you wake up to an entity asking you to play a game. What does it want? Are you really dead? Can you quit the game? Does quitting mean death? These broken boards will decide your fate
